Model Railways and “Malcolm and Moore”.

I have always held a passion for model railways, and in particular creating miniature diaromas of historic scenes using rustic buildings, old cars, vintage railway equipement. I model in “O Scale” which is 1:43 or 1 foot equals 7 mm.

Together with my good friend Wozza, in 2013, we built a small narrow gauge exhibition model railway. This was 7mm scale, operating on 16.5 mm track and had the exhibition name of Malcom and Moore Railway Company. The main feature was the Australian designed and built Malcom Moore Engineering Company locomotives supplied to the Australian Army, during World War II. Our display depicted a rural Australian setting with old Holdens, typical Aussie farm workers, Blue Heeler dogs and old tractors. The display had its debut showing at the Aus7 ExpO (Ten-year Anniversary) exhibition in March 2014. The Model Railway had a second showing at The Australian Narrow Gauge Convention at Bowral in April 2014.
